Description
I was approached by members of my alma mater's Athletic Department over the summer about creating a cohesive and updated look for the school's brand identity. They wanted something that was much more cohesive than the current logos, yet still able to be flexible depending on the intended use.
The Bruin
The Bruin is the primary identifying mark for Brentwood, featuring a snarling Bruin.
The Crest
The Crest serves as the primary academic logo for Brentwood High School. It is an update based on the original crest in use at Brentwood since 1982, and features a combination of design elements specific to the school as well as the City of Brentwood.
The slogan Ardens Fide, or “Burning Faith” in Latin speaks to Brentwood’s unwavering faith in its students, its mission, and its future.
The Block B
A simple Block B that serves as an alternate mark for the school. Depending on the application it can be beveled or flat.
Bruiser
Bruiser is a friendlier, vintage-inspired version of the Bruin head that is inspired by the school's original Bruin logo from 1982.
Full Body Bruiser
A full body version of the Bruiser logo, meant to evoke the classic collegiate mascot logos. Vintage powder blue is also featured prominently in the Bruin's sweater, another nostalgic tribute to the school's original shade of blue.
